History of (Heroic) Invitation from the Emperor

Overview
(Heroic) Invitation from the Emperor is the Heroic version of the Adventure Invitation from the Emperor on Nessus. Cayde-6 is worried about a message drawing the Red Legion to a remote part of Nessus; it serves as a prelude to the Leviathan raid.
Heroic Adventures were a Year 1 feature: each week the destination of the active Flashpoint had its Adventures flagged as Heroic, in the rotation European Dead Zone, Nessus, Tangled Shore, Io, Mercury, Titan, Mars (per player reports). They are launched from the destination map, or from the NPC who offers the Adventure (Cayde-6). The game lists them at a nominal 750 Power; the standard Adventure recommendation is +90 Power, and the game data does not state a separate Heroic difficulty. Players describe them as only modestly harder than the normal version. Heroic completions count towards the Wayfarer seal triumphs. Sources disagree or are sparse on Heroic-specific rewards; none are documented beyond the normal Adventure's.
Encounters and mechanics
- Enter the Vex ruins and download data from Cabal consoles.
- Defend confluxes from Red Legion reinforcements (with House of Dusk Fallen also present).
- Transmit the data via beacon. There is no boss; you learn Emperor Calus has arrived to harvest Nessus for "glorious dust" and "royal wine".
Rewards
Completion counts towards the Wayfarer seal; the base Adventure Invitation from the Emperor has the same story and steps. No Heroic-specific loot is documented in sources.
